I was 21, working at Hewlett-Packard, leading a team of 13–14 people. On the outside, it looked like everything was lining up: I was ambitious, building a career, proving myself.

But inside? I was drowning.

One summer day, I had my period. The heat was unbearable, my body ached so much that all I could think about was the pain — but my mind was racing with tasks, deadlines, responsibilities. I kept pushing, pretending I was fine, because that’s what I thought I had to do.

Back then, my worth depended on my performance. And the truth was — I had no idea how to listen to my body. I just wanted it to be quiet so I could “keep up.”

Mindfulness and Ayurveda Changed Everything

Everything shifted when I discovered mindfulness. I signed up for a 10-week course, and for the first time, I realized my body wasn’t against me. It was trying to get my attention.

Later, Ayurveda, the most holistic health system on the planet, deepened that understanding. I discovered my unique rhythm — my own blueprint — and learned to live in alignment with it. I realized I didn’t have to fight my body or the seasons of life. I could move with them.

This changed everything: my health, my clarity, my ability to thrive while still showing up and sharing my gifts.
